Venue and Accessibility

Venue

The hui will be located at the Central Auckland campus of AUT. All plenary sessions will be held in the Conference Centre, located on the ground floor of the WG Building, which is accessible through the main entrance. In workshop sessions that require breakout spaces, the Conference Centre will be divided into two spaces and two additional rooms, WF403 and WF404, will be used. These are located on the fourth floor of the WF building.

Accessibility

To ensure your experience is as enjoyable and accessible as possible, we’ve put together the following event briefing.

Accessible Parking

There are accessible carparks on streets near the Sir Paul Reeves building (Rutland St). The Civic carpark building is nearby (access from Mayoral Drive) with several accessible carparks marked with blue overhead lights. Click here to download a map locating the venue including nearby accessible parking locations.

Entering the Venue

There are two main entrances to the Sir Paul Reeves Building - from Wellesley Street or from Governor Fitzroy Place. The Wellesley Street entrance allows you to enter without using stairs or a lift.

After registration we will send through a specific guide on accessing the venue.

Sign Language Interpreting

We will have NZSL interpreters with us throughout the hui.

Access Dogs

Access dogs are warmly welcomed.

Accessible toilets

There are accessible toilets directly opposite the entrance to the Conference Room where our event will be held.

Break-out space

The foyer outside the Conference Centre will be where we eat morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. It will also be where the networking function will be on Thursday. If you are needing a break during the sessions, you are welcome to use this space at your leisure.
